The Crew That Is Already on Your Street

PMT Lawn & Landscape has worked Greenwood yards since 2015, and on most weeks our trucks are within a few minutes of your driveway. That matters more than it sounds like it should. A crew that is already in the area can hold a route, come back the same afternoon when a storm drops limbs on a bed, and notice that the turf along your south property line is thinning before it turns into a bare patch. Call (317) 910-1257 and you are talking to people who know which subdivisions flood and which ones bake, or request an estimate.

Greenwood is not one kind of property. The blocks around Old Town and Craig Park are mostly mid century ranches on quarter acre lots with silver maples that have been shading the same front yard for fifty years. Push south and east toward Worthsville Road and you are in builder grade subdivisions where the topsoil was scraped, the subsoil was rolled flat by heavy equipment, and the sod was laid over clay that drains like a dinner plate. West toward Smith Valley Road and the Center Grove line, the lots get bigger and the mature landscape beds get bigger with them. Each of those needs a different plan.

Greenwood Turf

Clay, Compaction, and What It Does to a Greenwood Lawn

The single biggest limit on a Greenwood lawn is not fertilizer, it is air and water movement. Johnson County clay holds moisture in April, then sets up hard in August. Newer neighborhoods have the added problem of construction traffic, where the lawn is sitting on ground that was compacted by equipment before a single blade of grass was planted.

Our answer is a fall core aeration paired with overseeding, then a feeding schedule that works with the season instead of against it. See aeration and overseeding for how we handle compaction, and lawn treatments for the fertilization and weed control side of the program.

  • Compacted subsoil under new construction sod
  • Standing water along back property lines after spring rain
  • Crabgrass pressure along hot driveway and sidewalk edges
  • Thin turf under mature maples near Old Town
  • Acidic soil pH that blunts fertilizer results

Spring and Fall

Two Weekends a Year You Can Get Back

The older Greenwood neighborhoods come with big trees, and big trees come with a leaf load that a homeowner rake cannot keep up with. Left on the turf through a wet November, that mat smothers grass and sets up snow mold. On the spring side, the same beds need last year's mulch broken up, edges recut, and perennials cut back before growth starts. Scheduled leaf removal handles that load in passes as the trees drop.

We run both ends of the year as a scheduled service, so it happens at the right time rather than the first free Saturday. Details are on the seasonal cleanup page.

The PMT Difference

A Lawn & Landscape Company You Can Trust

Homeowners, property managers, and facility teams across Johnson County keep working with us for the same handful of reasons.

01

We know Central Indiana ground

Heavy clay soil, cool-season turf, and Indiana's swing from wet spring to dry August all change how a property should be treated. We plan around the conditions we work in every day.

02

We treat the property like our own

Clean edges, blown-off walks, straightened bed lines. The details you would notice at your own house are the details we finish every visit with.

03

We show up on time and communicate

You know who is coming, when they are coming, and what happens next. From the first estimate through the last cleanup of the season.

Locally owned since 2015, licensed, bonded, and insured. Big enough to serve, small enough to care.

Greenwood Property Owners, We Are Close By

PMT Lawn & Landscape is locally owned, licensed, bonded, and insured, and works for clients throughout this part of Johnson County. Whether you have a half acre off Smith Valley that needs a full reset, a small Old Town lot that needs a reliable mow, or a business off US 31 that needs a commercial grounds maintenance contract, we would rather look at it in person than guess from a satellite photo. Commercial sites here get the same fall coverage through commercial leaf removal.

Tell us what is bothering you about the property. We will walk it, explain what we would do first and what can wait a season, and give you a number you can plan around.

PMT Lawn & Landscape serves Greenwood, Center Grove, Franklin, Bargersville, Mooresville, and Southport. Call (317) 910-1257 or request an estimate and we will get you on the schedule.
